- No CPI / cost-of-living index: the ABS publishes its Consumer Price Index for the eight state and territory capital cities plus a national average — Sunshine Coast isn’t a capital city and has no directly comparable ABS series, so this page compares rent only, not a full cost of living.
- Metric: median weekly rent for new tenancies, bond-weighted across the LGA, by dwelling type and bedroom count.
- Reporting period: quarterly, to 2026-Q2, from the Residential Tenancies Authority.
